Landa Global Properties Starts Construction on Boutique Condo in Vancouver’s West End

Vancouver, July 25, 2024 — Landa Global Properties has started construction on its much-awaited boutique condo development in Vancouver’s West End. When it’s complete in 2026, 1818 Alberni will offer a collection of 54 intimate, luxury residences with both mountain and ocean views. With only three suites per floor and homes ranging from 972 to 5,021 square feet, this development will become a new architectural landmark on the corner of Denman and Alberni, at the gateway to Stanley Park.

 “We are thrilled to be moving forward with this project after many years of hard work and delays,” said Landa CEO, Kevin Cheung. “This marks a significant milestone for Landa, as it is one of three major residential developments to come for us on Alberni Street. We have always believed in the value of this neighborhood and in particular, in the value of this iconic and rapidly evolving street. 1818 is the tipping point for us – and for the city – in more housing to come in downtown Vancouver and beyond.”

The original launch for 1818 Alberni was scheduled for March, 2020, but when the pandemic hit, sales were put on pause, along with many other aspects of daily life. Landa took advantage of the pause to redesign the building, adding smart home features, keyless entry and some innovative partnerships to allow residents access to car service, art consulting and fashion. “The elevated service package takes the building to a whole new level for Vancouver and matches the caliber of the overall building,” said Cheung.

With striking contemporary architecture by Foad Rafii, the residences are the culmination of a creative collaboration between designers, artisans, craftspeople, smart home innovators and premiere global brands such as Rolls-Royce, Holt Renfrew and Bang & Olufsen.

“This is a jewel property in the city that deserves iconic architecture and design,” says Cheung. “We wanted to push ourselves to set new standards for luxury and design in Vancouver.”
